Question Sorrow's Furnace updated promises "New Vendors". But where are they?

On the update page for Sorrow's Furnace <http://www.guildwars.com/products/sorrowsfurnace.html> it states:

"New Vendors ??? The local vendors sell items that you may have acquired in the past, but in versions that make them more useful or valuable."

The problem is I have never encountered these new vendors, nor any original vendors who are selling previously acquired items. I am also yet to find anyone else who has encountered any of these vendors, so I recently sent an email to areanet to ask them about it.

Here was there response:

"Hello Keith,

Thank you for contacting Guild Wars Support about this.

We encourage you to consider posting your suggestions on one of many of the Guild Wars Fansite message boards. A compiled list can be found on the official Guild Wars web site at http://guildwars.com/community/. By posting on one of these message boards, other players can comment on your ideas, concerns, and suggestions, and Development Team members are able to catch up on what the community wants to see in Guild Wars. Fansite forums make it easy and efficient for us to learn from those playing the game.

Thank you for your efforts in assisting us to make Guild Wars the best gaming experience possible.

Regards,
The Guild Wars Support Team"

Does anyone know anything about these "new vendors" or do they even exsist?

Thanks,
Sweaty Boatman[DoD]

Didn't they introduce Superior ID and Salvage kits in the SF update? Quite possibly it's referring to those.

Yes, these and keys were the only vendor change to my knowledge.

Thought they added the rare scroll traders in the SF patch too?

The vendor update was pretty weak. XP scrolls are nearly useless and are better spent selling back to the trader for money. With a level cap of 20 that is easily obtainable well be Sanctum Cay just by doing missions and the occasional skill quest there is no reason for these. Even if you just get run to Sanctum and do an early ascension you can be level 20 by the time you finish your mirror battle.

When they advertised a vendor update and new collectors I had envisioned collectors weapons in the fire islands with some rarer skins or possibly moving the HoD sword and items there with a more difficult collection requirement. It's not even worth the extra hassle to turn in the fire island collector pieces to net an extra 250g.

I like the mini-publish and the Sorrows Furnace area, but the vendor/collector update aspect fell way through.

They DID update the vendors with keys and superior kits. (Versions that are more valuable/useful ) They also added collectors that give scrolls. So they DID indeed do what was stated in the update promise.
